Mission: The mission of the Clean Beaches Council is to preserve America's coastal heritage through public awareness and voluntary participation in programs that will ensure a legacy of sustainable beaches for generations to come.
Programs: The Blue Wave Campaign is America's first public certification program for beaches. This internationally recognized program is a "good housekeeping" stamp of approval for beaches that are managed with respect for the environment, public health and safety. The Coastal Corps program is a national volunteer program to keep beaches clean and healthy year-round. Volunteers implement adopt-a-beach projects, beautification, restore native habitats, protect critical dune structures and educate beach visitors about our coastal eco-heritage.
