Mission: The fourth of july committee provided community service and commemorative events including a parade, fireworks, sports running races, and other activities involving the community which was held in connection with the celebration of independence day in order to promote social and governmental well being and provide an environment to enjoy this national holiday. Activites of various types included an ice cream social, band concert, "coney island" lunch, arts and crafts show, "kiddie games and parade", etc. Throughout the week preceding the 4th of july holiday. Programs: Accomplishment 1 is the twin runs, where 500 individuals participated in a 10k and 1 mile run to promote social and governmental well being and provide an environment to enjoy independence day holiday.
