Mission: The Classical Theatre Company (CTC) is dedicated to boldly re-envision classical drama on the stage, in the community, and in the classroom through engaging and enlightening productions that bring plays new life and relevance while maintaining the integrity that the works deserve. CTC is a nationally recognized nonprofit and the only professional theatre company in Texas to produce classical works year-round. Now in its sixteenth season (‘24-25), CTC is proud to play a leading role in Houston’s vibrant and flourishing arts and culture community.

Programs: CTC PRESENTS: 16 seasons of outstanding mainstage productions from 2007 to 2024 EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH: - Shakespeare in the House tours reduced performances and facilitated discussions and/or workshops to both traditional and non-traditional learning environments - The Audiences of Tomorrow program provides complimentary tickets for CTC performances to high school students and publishes an etiquette guide suitable for all attendees. - The William Hardy Memorial Internship program is open to rising high school juniors and above interested in theatre performance and production mentorship or insights into nonprofit management. COMMUNITY OUTREACH - The CTC Studio Series was launched in summer 2024 with the discussion of TRIFLES, the first feminist play - CTC is the expert on classical theatre in Houston and our social media channels: Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, help to inform, inspire and engage our audience. - CTC is a founding member of the Houston Theatre Alliance - accessibility and inclusion efforts create community by not only embracing and welcoming diversity. CTC reflects the full spectrum of humanity onstage through color- and gender-blind casting.
