Mission: "Good Citizen is a 501(c)(3) non profit with a belief that: 1. the greatest threat to the country is not any of the headline-grabbing issues we hear about each day, but rather that we are not fulfilling our roles as citizens, and 2. the way to be an effective citizen is to do the simple things which, when done by all of us over a lifetime, keep the country strong and thus free. Good Citizen's focus is on educating Americans on 100 of those simple things - "citizen actions"- identifying them, explaining why they matter, and in some cases, explaining how to go about doing them. Good Citizen is a response to former President Kennedy's 1961 inaugural address challenge - "Ask not what your country can do for you; Ask what you can do for your country".
