Mission: The circles edge, inc. Is a small, self-funded, humanitarian non-profit about acceptance, identity, self worth, and diversity. Our mission is to foster acceptance of self and tolerance of others in a fun, educational, and memorable way. We offer meetings, socials, and educational events as a way for people (in particular those who feel left out) to get involved and belong to something with no niche attached.
Programs: In 2012 the circle's edge, inc. Hosted numerous events aimed at those who may have been bullied, suffered from social anxiety or shyness, or simply just internationals, students, and singles new to the area. On sunday, november 18, 2012, the circle's edge, inc. Hosted a post thanksgiving potluck. This event brought out a small, intimate crowd in which we were able to comfortably speak on relationships, dating, shyness, amongst other issues. Thus fulfilling several pieces of our mission: acceptance with no niche attached as well as socializing in a fun, welcoming way.

On the 3rd saturday of every month if 2012 and 2013, the circles edge, inc. Hosted a coffee & video lounge at the director's, imeh smith family home. This event brought out a small, intimate crowd in which we were able to comfortably speak about topics on the member's mind. Thus fulfilling several pieces of our mission: acceptance with no niche attached, and socializing in a fun welcoming way.

On saturday, october 6th the circles edge, inc went to kings dominion in va for their annual halloween fest and some roller coaster fun. This event was not free but each member paid their own admission fee. Thus fulfilling our mission piece on acceptance and belonging in a fun, welcoming environment.

On thursday, sept. 20th, a free seminar was held at a local coffee shop in albany, ny about the law of attraction and how to attract your soul mate. Thus activity was aimed toward singles as well as those interested in the law of attraction. Thus helping to fulfill our mission piece on acceptance and belonging.

On sunday, may 6th, the circles edge, inc took another trip to nyc for lunch and to that same dance-a-thon. Thus activity was aimed toward those members who like to travel as well as members who enjoy dancing. Thus helping to fulfill our mission piece on acceptance and belonging. Each member was responsible for their own bus fare and ticket to the dance.
