Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: A shared ministry with over fifty churches from various denominations who help to house the homeless each night from october to june. Our guests recieve a safe place to stay over night plus three meals. We also have a day program open year round where guests are offered food, laundry facilities, and special assistance.
Programs: Day program - this program opened december 15, 2008. Is it open to the homeless monday to saturday, except during the bitter cold months when it is open seven days a week. The focus at the daytime center is job skill development, and ultimately attaining stable housing for our guests. In addition to serving breakfast and lunch, the daytime center has clothes washing facilities. In addition to serving the homeless population, our daytime program attracts neighbors who are housed, but in need of food services through our daily hot lunch program.
evening program - an rotating shelter spending one week a church and then rotating to another church week week. Served 6143 non tanf adults and 232 tanf guests for a total of 6,375 safe nights.
transportation (6143 safe nights) transportation from the intake shelter to the host church. An additional stop is a made at a church offering shower facilities, if the host church does not have their own showers for the guests to use.
