Mission: Founded in 1936 the Chippewa County Historical Society interprets the history of our county through three museums, two which are owned by the Society. Historic Chippewa City a 24 building village setting and the Swensson Farm Museum, a 22 room brick farm home, on the National Registry. The preservation of our local history and architecture is our primary focus. Bringing in school children to teach them the ways of the turn of the century is also a primary focus of the Society's. Our annual Heritage Week brings in approximately 1800 school children.
