Mission: To strengthen, support and connect the international community of camps serving individuals and families affected by childhood cancer.
Results: 1. We rebranded in 2022 to develop more professionally as a non profit business association. 2. Created a new website, www.cocacamps.org which houses our online learning center that has courses for professional education and development 3. Created an education platform with course certification (mentioned in point #2) 4. Accredited almost half of our Camp Members through the Gold Ribbon Accreditation Program. 59 Camps to date. 5. Successfully provide an educational conference each year for over 250 pediatric oncology camp professionals. Over 65 hours of education is provided at this conference with 13 medical hours being provided as contact hours through the Virginia Nurses Association.
