Causes: Child Day Care, Children & Youth
Mission: Provide a coordinated program of quality child care, including health supervision and nutritional, educational and social services for children residing in dekalb county, illinois and nearby communities.
Programs: Providing subsidized child care services to low and moderate income families. The center offers programs for infant toddler groups, preschool groups, extended child care for children attending public kindergarten, before and after school care programs, and school holiday and summer care programs. In the 2016-2017 year, 34 children were in the infant/toddler group, 104 attended preschool, 95 children were in the extended child care for kindergarteners, attended before/after care and school holiday and summer care programs. All of these programs are ongoing. Children's learning center achieved a gold circle of quality from the excelerate illinois program in november 2015 and has maintained it, as well. Children's learning center received accreditation through the early learning leaders national accreditation commission in 2013 and has maintained it.
