What is behind this ministry is love for children, love for people. Their work and care go a long way to ease burdens and make a way forward for children and families who need to be seen and lifted from injustice. Children Are People is a grass roots organization, operating hand to mouth as provisions are made available and distribute. I am so glad to see their expressions of love in desperate times.
My mother passed away in January and we chose Children Are People for her memorial donations. Children Are People were great to work with and we were so excited about the great way they used the donations. My Mom would love to know her life helped children in Africa to have a little better life and a chance for a better future because of Children Are People.
Children Are People strives to care for children and spread the message that children are, indeed, people. I have been a member of the board since its formation after a trip to Kenya in 2007, but it was in Dixie’s heart for many years prior to that. The organization is ran and administrated by volunteers who do not take salaries. The needs are great, but as God provides, we strive to meet those needs. Children are cared for and given educations through high school. If you are looking to make a tangible difference in the lives of children, I highly recommend giving to CAP.
We have partnered with this amazing ministry that enhances the lives of children for many years. We donate mostly school supplies & have been blessed to see the smiles as they open their gifts! We've also been overjoyed to meet Dixie and a few of her teams in Africa and they are so real with their love & generosity for those they are serving! They are a blessing and if you want your donations to go to a trusted ministry and a true need, I would recommend Children are People!

I've been honored to partner with Dixie Koch and Children are People for many years now. I am impressed and touched by the extent of their compassion and growth in securing an education for so many children. Next year they will expand their Kenyan school providing even more for the S. Sudaneese Refuge Children. There is no end to the commitment to the orphans in need. They are an amazing ministry!

I am a board member and donor to CAP. This organization was formed to help these children be fed, clothed, educated, and loved. Dixie Koch has a wonderful heart and works tirelessly to help see needs met. We have seen God work wonders and am so glad to know our donations go straight to meet the needs, not to salaries in this organization. I am so blessed to be a part of what God is doing through CAP!
I know I am giving directly to those with the most basic human needs in areas of the globe that lack resources such as clean drinking water and safety from violence. I especially appreciate the organization's committment to education and sustainable living. I have faith in the appropriation of funds and incredible oversight from its President. Children are people does an outstanding job communicating with donors through the use of social media, speaking engagements and donor mailings.
I went to Africa with a team for Children are People and was able to work with some of the children in the schools sponsored by Children are People. Also got the opportunity to go into some Children's homes and orphanages that Children are People help support it was a great opportunity to see all the help they do.
Children Are People are doing great works for the Lord in Africa. They distributed hundreds of dresses, skirts, and shorts on a recent trip to visit orphans they support in Kenya.
They're amazing! I've met John, who oversees one of the ministries in Kenya. He has an amazing testimony & a heart for the children.
Children Are People deals primarily with orphans in Africa providing food, shelter and an education. It is amazing to me how much they have been able to accomplish, building homes, and schools. The people who run the organization are motivated by love for children; there are no paid employees, so nearly all funds received go directly to mission projects. What better place to put my money!
I have been involved as a donor to Children Are People for more than 5 years now. One thing that continues to impress me is the care with which they use resources donated to this ministry. No lavish trips, dinners, and salaries here... just people who want to see needs met for orphans and the poor. I continue to give because I know every cent is accounted for, stretched, and spent on "the least of these."
