Causes: Disaster Aid, Safety Education
Mission: Child safety & awareness - the prevention of child abuse, youth violence and injury. Use subject matter experts to provide free resources for helping parents raise safer, healthier kids. School bus safety using child safety technology.
Programs: Csn continued its tradition of providing its nation child safety awards, the u. S. Senate voted unanimously to support this years national school bus safety programs made available to all public schools. Csns subject matter experts and advisory board members donated substantial time and resources to provide parents with information on how to raise safer, healthier children. Csn presented its new technology to protect children. This year, csn continued working directly with tsa, dhs, doj and doe to expand safety and security protocols for all school sites. Those resources reach all 14,000 school districts. Csn created and began to implement its new 5-year americas safer city campaign to teach cyber safety, youth violence prevention & intervention, peer pressure, tolerance, bullying, stranger danger, home safety, how to choose a child caretaker, motor vehicle and pedestrian safety, violence prevention, fire prevention, poison, immunizations, first aid (urge parents to become certified in pediatric cpr), water safety, travel safety, school bus safety and more. Csn maintains and updates its daily information and resources to the public available at www. Csn. Org with a major focus on helping to make schools and parents aware of ways to keep the 26 million children that travel to and from school on school buses safe.
