Mission: Child sexual abuse is a major public health problem in the United States. 25% of women and 16% of men report having been sexually abused before the age of 18. The Child Molestation Research & Prevention Institute conducts research, raises public awareness, and provides education on the actions we can all take to prevent the greatest amount of sexual abuse from occuring in the shortest amount of time.
Programs: The Child Molestation Research & Prevention Institute (CMRPI) raises awareness and provides education about the ability to prevent child sexual abuse through its website and myspace page, through its presentations and workshops on preventing child sexual abuse, and through its publications. CMRPI also conducts research helpful toward prevention from its National Sexual Violence Databank.
