Causes: Arts & Culture, Performing Arts
Mission: It is the goal of the Chestnut Fine Arts Center to provide a nurturing, positive and comfortable environment to promote, develop and produce quality entertainment and enjoyment of the Arts. We welcome both children and adults to our Center, where we provide voice and piano lessons, children’s workshops, theatre productions, and seasonal caroling.
Programs: The Chestnut Fine Arts Center produces a season of six plays and musicals each year, with casts including some of the most talented performers in the KC area. This year, each production runs for five weeks, with a minimum of 20 performances each. Over 95% of the past season's performances were sold out. The Chestnut is a family-friendly environment, and productions are suitable for all age categories. The 2010-11 theatre season marks the Chestnut's 12th year in business.
