recruited, trained and supported 63 school representatives to advocate for changes to the school food options at their children's schools resulting in 22 active school wellness committees; positive changes to a la carte options; and healthier snacks, parties and fundraisers. designed rubric to grade school food statewide and issued school food environment grades for all 24 public school districts in maryland; advocated for legislation to improve school food statewide; and held salad bar summit to educate school food service leaders, parents and community members on best practices in salad bar implementation.
