Mission: Promote awareness and to raise funds to support and educate thousands of families living with alzheimer's disease and other dementias in the tri- state area.
Programs: The senior health fair designed for patients, family members and professional caregivers. This is held in late spring and includes professional speakers with different topics that deal with caring for a loved one with a memory disorder/dementia/alzheimer's from diagnosis, treatments/medications, financial, in-home care, hospice, etc. 250-350 people attend
the cheering closet program is a way to reach out to our neighbors living in senior residential communities. We deliver necessary everyday items for those in need. Some of our gifts are donated and some are purchased by the foundation. This program has been expanded to include any patient or resident, not just individuals with memory disorders or alzheimer's.
"the cheering voices", is a program that uses music to help strengthen the bond between persons affected by alzheimer's and their caregivers. In a collaborative venture modeled after some of the most innovative programs in the country, cheering for charity has created a shared experience in a choral music program where participants come together to experience the joy and power of music. The ohio department of aging has accredited this program as a quality improvement project for qualifying nursing homes.
