Programs: Teacher residency - pef has two teacher residency programs that are equipping teachers for high-need science and math classrooms in middle and high schools. Teach/here focuses on math and science classrooms in grades 7-12 in hamilton and knox counties. Project inspire focuses on math classrooms in grades 4-8 in hamilton county. Our residents come from various backgrounds with a focus on science, technology, engineering, or math. Our teacher residency programs provide practical learning, hands-on experience, and a support network teachers need to be effective right away.
ge foundation - this program works toward improving instructional delivery and achievement of children in each of the ge foundation developing futures districts.
1:1 program: this program is intended to provide students the opportunity to increase what they learn, how they learn, and when they learn by using technology they will own throughout an entire school year. Teachers and principals of these students will join a network that will provide them with extensive opportunities to learn best practices in the use of 1:1 technology in instruction, as well as share what's working and what's challenging them in their own classrooms.
