DLA has been the perfect fit for our family. The teachers really help our children advance at their own pace. There is no Box here that our children are being forced to conform to. Our one son has always struggled anytime we tried to put him an an education setting, but here he has blossomed and now he actually enjoys going to school.
DLA is unlike any other school. They don’t push my son into a mold, they allow him to learn and grow his own way. My son has grown leaps and bounds in just the few months he’s been attending DLA. Because of his special needs, my son needed a place that worked with him on how to process challenges rather than punishing him because he didn’t do what was expected. The expectation at DLA is for progress with each child as an individual, with group skills built in. The focus is on my kid, and all the other kids at the school, and what makes them be the best they can be. It is a safe space for kids to express their feelings and learn how to deal with them, a place where they can build social skills, a place where failure is ok and a learning experience. DLA is the best thing that has ever happened for my son!
