I, personally, have been blessed by the JOY that comes from the Chara Project. I first learned about the Chara Project at a conference in West Jordan, Utah about a year ago. After hearing about their mission and vision statements, I had the wonderful opportunity to meet with Heather and Sarah and ask questions about Chara Project. It was then I realized these ladies had such a heart for Jesus! It was out of the overflow of their hearts pouring Jesus out that I began on a journey to learn and grow in how I study the Bible. I thought I knew how to read and understand the Bible, but not deeply. It wasn't until I took a class that the Chara Project teaches on how to read and understand the Bible that I realized how to use context, history the author and other resources to better help me in reading the Bible. I was also blessed with some sweet one-on-one mentorship by one of the precious ladies. It was then I realized their simplified tools work when it comes to understanding what I am reading in the Bible. I learned to not be told what to think when it comes to reading and studying the Bible but how to think on my own. This was LIFE CHANGING for me! Since I have used the Chara Bible Study Guide, the online Bible studies, and the podcasts of the Chara Project my relationship with Jesus has become deeper and sweeter! The JOY I have felt in diving deeper in the Bible recently is really what this non-profit is all about and I am learning how myself to share that JOY with others! Thank you Chara Project for showing me sweet JOY that comes from digging deeper in the Bible and my relationship with Jesus!
God has definitely had His hand of blessing on the Chara Project. He has given the three founders a passionate heart for teaching people how to study His Word. Each study has practical application for living out the Word of God. You will be impressed with the resources you find on this site.

I've had the privilege of participating in some of their guided studies--the lessons and truths they extract are timely and precious. These three dynamic women are quick to listen, be supportive, and accepting. Regardless of your beliefs, you belong. It is an honor to know these women and reap the wealth of their study and experience.

The Chara Project is changing lives by giving women the tools to discover Bible truths with others and the ability to study the Bible on their own. Women are encouraged to take the deeper dive into discovering truth for themselves while taking away the daunting challenge of where to begin. One of the important ways they do this is by making available a beautiful study Bible to anyone who needs one. Before finding the Chara Project I would often jump straight to applying what I'd read, missing so much of the meaning of the text. And this is coming from someone who grew up in the Christian community doing home church where I thought I knew how to study the Bible already!
I've seen a huge benefit from using their simple framework, Context, History, Author, Read, Apply, and other resources as I grow my personal relationship with Jesus. Now I've been able to lead my own small group and personal study with more confidence and richer insight. Very thankful for this ministry and the powerful women who lead it.
