Mission: Ch development association's purpose is to support capitol hill housing in its mission to meet the need for affordable housing while preserving neighborhood character in seattle.
Programs: Ch development association (chda) helps preserve affordable housing by assuming ownership interests in limited partnerships owning low-income, multi-family housing upon the exit of the for-profit investors. To date, ch development association has replaced the investor limited partner in 8 partnerships preserving 306 units. In addition, ch development association is the sole member in an llc formed to facilitate development of 88 units of affordable housing, theater space, and community space for the capitol hill community. Chda also has an ownership interest in three other legal entities established for the future development of affordable housing at two locations in the greater seattle area.
