Central High School Foundation

Programs: Provided 30 classroom grants and funding for special projects to benefit the students of central high school through activities, organizations and classroom support. In working to minimize the impact of the "opportunity gap" on central and its students, the central high foundation works to insure that the educational opportunities and experiences afforded to today's central students are second to none and available to everyone who chooses to participate in them. Central high school foundation funded and supported student focused activities include the senior recognition ceremony, central school high teacher and student of the year recognition, central high school teacher appreciation week, purple feather day, the road show, funding of teacher classroom grants, funding of student field trips as well as funding and support for central school high athletic programs, central school high performing arts productions and central high school myp and ib events. These programs provided by the central high school foundation insure that all central students have access to a four-year academic experience grounded in a traditional college prep curriculum and supplemented with a broad base of experiential and enrichment learning.

provided college scholarships to senior students of central high school and teacher recognition awards. Management and administration of 45 scholarships including the central high school teacher and student of the year scholarships. The central high school foundation scholarship program provides scholarship opportunities for students attending central high school to help pursue their educational goals and achieve their higher education dreams. Both one-time scholarships as well as renewable scholarships are granted.

provided alumni outreach and engagement. We hosted 10 regular class reunions during 2016-2017. Omaha area alumni, parent, staff and student events included rock the nest trivia night, the central golf outing, central high hall of fame, and two alumni passing periods luncheons.

during fiscal year 2017 the central high school foundation contributed money toward the central high school arts and library addition.
