Mission: The COHD works to eliminate the Digital Divide in under-served communities in the Chicagoland area. As a Magic Johnson Empowerment Center, we hope to help adults and youths gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence necessary to improve their lives and their communities.
Results: - Recipient of 21st Century Grant Award - Certified by the Illinois State Board of Education as a Provider of Supplemental Educational Services under the No Child Left Behind Initiative to provide after-school tutoring to Illinois public school children. - Recipient of State of Illinois Department of Commerce and Opportunity Grants - Recipient of Hewlett Packard’s Community Technology Center grant for Archer Courts Neighborhood Network Learning Center 6. Recipient of Magic Johnson/HP Grant Award for Lake Grove Village NNLC - Recipient of African American Legacy Initiative grant from the Chicago Community Trust.
