Mission: Center for Companies That Care (Companies That Care) was founded in 2002 by Marci Koblenz, Sandra Cunningham, Ed. D., and work-life pioneer Mary Ellen Gornick. They understood that that the needs of individuals, businesses, and communities were not always aligned. They founded Companies That Care to change both how we work and the role of the employer in our society. Our goal is that one day, all companies will be Companies That Care. Four truths guide Companies That Care:1. Individuals, communities and businesses are inter-dependent; when each is strong, all are strong 2. Every employer, whether for profit, not-for-profit, large or small, shares responsibility for ensuring that individuals and communities thrive3. Collaborative efforts accomplish more than individual initiatives 4. We need to change how we work to sustain individuals, families and communities; the needs of employees and communities must be integrated into corporations? daily business practices
