Mission: Cct strengthens our community by helping people with criminal records find a healthier and more productive way of living. Our work provides employment and transition services: supports alternatives to incarceration: and restores and strengthens family bonds.
Programs: Center for women:this program is a 30-bed residential facility for women who are finishing their state prison sentence. They must be with in 3 years of a release date. Residents work in the community, attend school, participate in supervised community activities, attend aa and na,and family reunification. Out of their earnings participants pay restitution, program fees, and child support. Transition services include finding housing, repairing credit, providing furnishings, assisting with transportation, supportive network, etc.
lifeworks! This program provides transition services to people leaving prison and jail. Lifeworks! Includes a 2-week employment readiness program, weekly employment roundtable, a soft skills program and case management. Lifeworks! Is a cognitive behavior based program, allowing clients to explore opportunities for change. A similar program is offered to social services clients who have a criminal record.
families doing time:fdt has several different components. 1) ekwip- empowering kids with incarcerated parents is a home and school based program to stabilize families and children affected by incarceration and includes home visits, school based support groups, and monthly dinner meetings for families served. Staff in fdt also provide family reunification assistance for women who are currently incarcerated in the center for women. Additional sessions are provided for adults and family members when someone is coming home.
