Mission: The purpose of the centennial legion of historic military commands, inc. Is to carry on the original motives of the military commands of the original thirteen colonies, who, on july 4, 1876, at the centennial celebration in philadelphia, pa, organized the centennial legion of historic military commands. It perpetuates the military organizations who served and protected our country in the early days of its history prior to the revolutionary war. The legion preserves the military records, history and traditions of the member units. The legion upholds the national institutions of the united states in their integrity; seeks to keep alive a spirit of fraternity and benevolence among the armed forces of the unites states; fosters respect for our country's flag and its constitution; and obedience to constituted authority. The legion seeks to recognize and honor all citizens who have served in the military services or reserves of the several states and the united states.
Programs: The legion celebrated its 82st year of existence since incorporation. The clhmc supported historic military units in the original thirteen colonies by providing support to the member units at little or no cost to the member units. The clhmc held its annual meeting in fayetteville, nc in october 2017.
