Mission: The foundation mobilizes resources and relationships that empower our library to deliver innovative programs and services.
Programs: The cedar rapids public library foundation supported the library's efforts to engage & strengthen the community in a number of ways. From our summer dare and the out loud author series to senior book clubs, the foundation supported the library's efforts to serve over 600,000 vistors and 48,000 program attendees in fy 17. Our library's collection continues to be a focus, as the foundation supported library patrons beyond its walls through downloadable audiobooks and other new books and materials.
the foundation also supported the library's efforts to invest in young minds and transform lives. Foundation-funded teen engagement and preschool outreach served more than 1,000 children and young adults through story times and steam programs. The foundation continues to fund enhanced online resources to lynda. Com and referenceusa, and this year, supported the launch of our library's youtube channel that shares library stories and helps increase awareness of programs and services.
