Mission: The cedar rapids freedom festival, inc. , a non-profit organization, celebrates the quality of life in eastern iowa by providing safe, affordable and fun annual events that embody the spirit of patriotism and the sense of community and family.
Programs: The cedar rapids freedom festival is a 14 day festival consisting of a tribute to heroes dinner, building block extravaganza, a patriotic parade, small local concerts, a car show, a pancake breakfast, fireworks, and many other events geared toward community and family. Balloon glow - families, couples, and other groups gather to see 5-6 local hot air balloons light up the sky at dusk on the beautiful grounds of brucemore mansion. Mansion and self-guided walking tours of the grounds are available as well as festival food and music.
