Mission: Cb cares educational foundation, in partnership with doylestown hospital, the central bucks school district, local businesses, and the community, is dedicated to enriching the experience of students through learning grants and the developmental assets-based programs which promote responsible and resilient youth.
Programs: Family based activities/programsparent network is a program designed to offer support, resources and initiatives aimed at cultivating open communication between parents and children. These prosocial educational programs provide the moral compass in the form of discussion through our parent positive speaker series reaching over 2,000 families per school year. Through our monthly backpack newsflash we reach over 17,000 families and provides information, guidelines and tools for better family management and enhanced family communication and community connectivity. Additional programs include central bucks tv and a parent resource library. Community based activities/programsvolunteer connections is a program that organizes local service projects through an interactive database in partnership with 29 organizations. Activities include mlk day of service, which organizes local service projects. Program benefits approximately 6500 community members. Individual based activities/programsyouth activities is a program that empowers youth to participate in productive and constructive activities designed to keep youth away from risky behaviors. Activities include youth to community art series (y2c) providing central bucks youth with an opportunity to showcase their dedication and devotion to the arts. Youth activities program benefits approximately 4000 community members and 200 youth.
school based activities/programscommunity connections is a program that helps to build awareness among our youth on the importance of making healthy choices through their actions and relationships. Cb cares connects students, teachers and administrators of the schools in the central bucks county with the community organizations that provide assembly programs and services addressing health and educational related issues that support the central bucks school district curriculum. Activities include a mini grant program - a grant offered to each school to host programs or assemblies that focus on issues addressing risk, prevention, family relationships, community service and diversity acceptance. Innovative learning grants is an initiative offered to central bucks school district teachers and administrators to innovative projects that enhance the district's curriculum and public education. Grant projects may be limited to a single classroom, involve several grade levels or departments, or they may be school/district wide. Alcohol, tobacco and other awareness programs are aimed at all high school levels especially prom and graduation and involve messages of responsibility and alcohol awareness delivered through many media outlets. Boomerang youth recognition award has received over 20,000 nominations since its inception. This youth character award is awarded each month to a district winner for the 3 levels of elementary, middle and high school and recognizes developmental assets as identified by the search institute that serve as building blocks to developing healthy and resilient youth. The monthly asset is promoted through building partners and is also built into the fourth grade technology curriculum (quest) to develop a video about the asset that is distributed at the elementary level. The award engages community leaders in the selection of the monthly award and benefits the approximate 18,400 students in the central bucks school district.
