Girl Power USA is an incredibly amazing organization that reaches the most underserved beneficiaries with timely interventions that helps create a preferable future for those in need.
Girl Power USA's trust in grassroot organizations that are closer to the beneficiaries' challenges, is creating ripples of positive impact across many nations.
Through their support, the number of out-of-school girls in Calabar, Nigeria, is reducing and the chances for a more equitable society for women and girls are increasing.
Partnering with Girl Power USA is an opportunity to impact generations.
Pillars of Hope is a Children’s Home I run with my Wife. We have around 75 children at any one time that we are raising. 2 are in University now and the youngest is 4 years old.
We are in Nairobi, Kenya. For a long while we had no electricity as our solar panels had expired. We needed new panels and batteries so we could generate lights at night so kids could do homework.
I reached out to Girl Power USA who came with food, drinks and cake for all the kids. We had a celebration and we installed our new solar panels provided by Girl Power USA.
Unravelling the mystery of the philanthropic economics and the stats associated with it is how we see the world of NGO's these days. Somehow, with the trust that Girl Power USA has gained of me changed the realm of making an impact in today's world. I have been a part of this non-profit for 4 months now, although, it feels like forever since I embarked on this journey. For those who may not be aware about the cause and sustainable development goals Girl Power USA supports, may not have stumbled across the greatest leaders who happen to be leading this family in various prospects. Being a local impact advisor myself, given the recent induction to this position, I feel that the world needs to know about us because it is not just the business of hustling, but creating history together. I absolutely stan being a changemaker at Girl Power USA!
Girl Power USA is a philanthropic priority for me for several reasons. First, I believe strongly in the mission. Secondly, the organization is well-managed and operates efficiently and responsibly. Thirdly, the global impact on the lives of thousands of girls and young women is astonishing. I am proud to be a supporter and advocate of Girl Power USA.
Girl Power USA as an organization is simply inspirational. As a voice that represents those in need, they provide a platform for causes that touch the hearts of many.
Being part of Girl Power USA has been a phenomenal journey. Every day we are reminded to be thoughtful of our actions and the impact they can make on the world through one act of kindness. This organization reminds me that every penny, second, and thought counts towards the movement for kindness and equity.
Girl Power USA is truly young at heart! Meeting their Global Team was an incredible experience that allowed me to witness the profound capacity for giving. Their initiatives and vision inspire everyone to become change-makers. As a working professional, I've always aspired to contribute to empowering underserved communities. However, I've often faced limitations when it comes to making monetary donations.
Our session with Girl Power USA taught me that by donating just 10% of my salary, I can still save the majority of it while making a meaningful impact. Girl Power USA is transforming lives in underserved communities by providing essential resources and promoting sustainable development goals.
The team is exceptionally creative and talented. I encourage everyone to meet the Girl Power USA team and support their mission to be the change we all wish to see.
Girl Power USA is an idea born from the intrinsic altruism of all members of the team. Together, the team is working towards creating bridges between thought and action and those who have the resources and an altruistic outlook and those who need the boost to be able to live a dignified life and achieve their dreams. The initiatives range from supporting doctors in Uganda to providing essential resources to children’s homes in Kenya. We are looking to keep growing and impact as many lives as we possibly can. We have a school in India serving underprivileged children.
I have watched Girl Power USA grow from the seed of an idea into a fully-formed operational non-profit. The extended team is talented and motivated. The Executive Director has built a sustainable model for International growth and impactful programs. I am proud to provide financial support for the team and their good work.
Girl Power USA is a home to me. I am so happy and proud of the support offered to communities across the globe which has created a huge impact in their lives, notable to say that this is an inclusive and diverse place where we all belong. Cheers to everyone who volunteer here and strive put smiles on the faces of the vulnerable and to make the world a better place to live in. ❤
Working as a writer at Girl Power Talk, I mentioned to the company’s co-founder, Sameer Somal, that I volunteer and support children’s homes in my free time with Hill Light Foundation. Willing to support this cause, the organization, through its non-profit arm, Girl Power USA, purchased a 10,000-litre water tank for Tollen Children’s Home and committed to a monthly donation of $300 to cater for food and sanitary products for the girls. This became the first of many such projects in Kenya, including supporting Pillars of Hope Children’s Home and Total Rehab Centre for Disabled Children.
Girl Power USA also initiated educational programs and vocational training for the children at Tollen Children’s Home. Team members from Zimbabwe and Uganda joined me to facilitate classes on financial literacy, career education, and computer skills.
I was working as a surgical nurse in women’s hospital when I was inspired and mentored by an international fistula surgeon who saw potential in me. He encouraged me to pursue my dream but as a mother of three I didn’t know how this would happen.
I started medical school but I was un able to write my exam as I couldn’t afford the tuition. I reached out to Girl power USA. Frankie Picasso the executive director and Hillary Turyasingura a 6-year medical student and an associate director for Girl power USA invited me to meet with them on a zoom. I understand that after that call, they wanted to help me, so they figured out a way that I could get my tuition paid while volunteering with girl power USA and learning new skills as well. I was relieved to be able to write my exams, have a flexible timetable, the ability to help people , still go to school, look after my children and not worry about my finances next year. Girl power USA is a place where dreams can come true and lives can be changed.
My name is Kelvin Kimaili, the co-founder of Hill Light Foundation, a social impact initiative based in Nairobi, Kenya. Established in 2018, our organization began as a group of university friends driven by a shared passion for making a difference in our community. One of our members, who worked with Girl Power Talk, introduced us to Girl Power USA, sparking a valuable partnership.
Through our collaboration with Girl Power USA, we identify and support care homes in our community that require assistance. Our initiatives have included installing a 10,000-liter water tank to ensure clean water access at Tollen Children's Home, purchasing 100 chickens for Total Rehab Centre for Disabled Children, and providing food and solar panels to Pillars of Hope Children's Home. Together with Girl Power USA, Hill Light Foundation is committed to making a tangible impact on the lives of those in need.
Girl Power USA has given me the chance to make a significant difference in my community. By supporting medical camps that improve access for underprivileged individuals and communities, I feel fulfilled knowing that my efforts contribute to meaningful change.
Girl Power USA supported S.A.L.V.E. International during an event in Jinja, Uganda, to celebrate International Day for Street Children. At very short notice, they were able to send a medical team to conduct free health checks for the children taking part in the event. Hillary and the team on the ground were exceptional, and we have built a blossoming friendship with Girl Power USA as a result. Thank you to Frankie and the team.
