Causes: Child Abuse Prevention, Children & Youth, Children & Youth Services, Civil Rights, Crime & Law, Domestic Violence, Protection Against Abuse
Mission: To advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in the court system. Through advocacy and prevention these community volunteers ensure that each child is placed in a safe, permanent, and healthy environment.
Programs: Through advocacy and prevention the volunteers work alongside the attorneys and case workers in an effort to ensure that each child is placed in a safe, permanent and nurturing home as quickly as possible. The following are output measures for the fiscal year 86 children were assisted through the legal process, 86 victims were interviewed for case information. 103 victims were provided information /or referral in person or by phone. 86 cases were reviewed by the multi-disciplinary team. 39 children were placed with permanency for casa programs.
