Mission: To alleviate hunger in west texas through community partnerships by distributing food to those in need.
Programs: The food bank distributed 4. 995 million pounds of food to agencies and individuals throughout 19 counties in west texas. This is done through programs and strategic partnerships with over 80 partner agencies including food pantries, soup kitchens, churches, womens shelters, kids cafe program, food 2 kids backpack program, and homeless shelters. The food bank also distributed an additional 2. 478 million pounds of usda food commodities to their subrecipient partner distribution organization, el pasoans fighting hunger. The food bank also provides nutritional education and community awareness programs to the public.
