Mission: CASA of McHenry County's mission is to draw from community resources to provide well-trained volunteers who will advocate for abused and neglected children in our court system, provide needed information to the court, and help develop a more effective juvenile court process.
Results: In 2011 CASA advocated for 141 abused and neglected children in McHenry County, helping to find safe, permanent homes for more than 30 children.
Target demographics: CASA works with abused and neglected children from birth to age 21, becoming their voice in court and a trusted adult who will stay with them for the life of their case.
Direct beneficiaries per year: Approximately 145
Geographic areas served: All cases are in the McHenry County court system. Many children are, however, placed in foster homes outside of the county.
