Mission: Casa Allegra Community Services (CACS), which was founded in 1975, believes that all people are entitled to self determination and to live their lives with dignity as self reliant and productive citizens.The agency will assist people in designing and constructing their futures and achieving their dreams. CACS creatively supports people so that they can live, work, have friends and enjoy life in their community.CACS is committed to developing social relationships between people with and without disabilities. The agency will provide the necessary ongoing assistance to achieve personal success.
Target demographics: adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Intellectual & developmental disabilities refer to sever and chronic disabilities that begin before adulthood and include autism, cerebral palsy, & Down syndrome
Geographic areas served: San Francisco Bay Area. Based in Marin County.
Programs: Casa Allegra Community Services supports individuals through separate but coordinated services: LIVING SERVICES RESIDENTIAL LIVING is provided in two long-term care homes located in San Rafael. COMMUNITY LIVING SERVICES (CLS = Supported Living) supports individuals to live safely and successfully where and with whom they choose. ADULT DAY SERVICES Adult Community Services (ACS) provides support for and facilitates community-based activities in education, jobs, volunteerism and recreation. Small Business Ventures (Income Opportunities Unlimited) provides guidance and development for career, business ownership, membership in a co-op or a hobby. Specialized Day Services provides education and community inclusion for those who require additional age or health related assistance.
