Programs: Carnegie museum of science delights, educates, and inspires through interactive experiences in science and technology. Permanent exhibits include the planetarium, submarine, roboworld, bodyworks, h2oh! , and exploration station. The newest exhbit, the ropes challenge, opened in june 2017, and is located in the middle of highmark sportsworks. Late in 2017, the rangos giant cinema opened, which demonstrates technological and scientific advances in audio and visual experiences that are unparalled in our region. The center for stem (science, technology, engineering, and math) continues to bring innovative programming to engage diverse audiences and stimulate young people to consider careers in stem and to understand how science applies to everyday life. Education programs provide a wide range of offerings, both onsite and offsite. Attendance for 2017 reached 706,862.

carnegie museum of art engaged audiences through its nationally recongnized collections, exhibitions, and programs. In 2017 cmoa offered its first-ever exhibition in contemporary fashion, "iris van herpen:transforming fashion. " another 2017 exhibition, "20/20 the studio museum in harlem and carnegie museum of art," brought a dynamic exchange of ideas about art and society. The teenie harris archive of nearly 80,000 images comprises one of the most detailed and intimate records of the black urban experience known today. The art museum continues to be a strategic partner in regional education initiatives to reach and engage audiences with specially designed programs and activities, community partnerships, and free or discounted admissions and program fees. Third thursdays, a monthly late-night offering, welcomes partners throughout the city to create exciting, one-of-a kind programs. Attendance for 2017 reached 261,184.

carnegie museum of natural history continues to be ranked among the top natural history museums in the country. It maintains, preserves, and interprets an extraordinary collection of more than 22 million objects and scientific specimens used to broaden understanding of evolution, conservation, and biodiversity. Cmnh generates new scientific knowledge, advances science literacy, and inspires visitors of all ages to become passionate about science, nature and world cultures. In 2017 the museum hosted popular traveling exhibits "amazing butterflies and "the power of poison. " the first exhibit of its kind in north america, "we are nature: welcome to the anthropocene," opened in fall 2017, and explores the interconnected relationship between humans and nature. Also in the fall of 2017, the history museum partnered with the art museum and the production company, bricolage, to present the immersive experience "dodo," which allowed patrons to move through galleries and collection areas, as well as behind-the-scenes spaces never before opened to the public. Attendance reached 321,634 in 2017.
