Mission: Wicp provides care for elders who are cognitively impared or functionally impared. The care is provided in half or full day sessions while under the care of a professional staff.
Programs: The people who are served by wicp spend enjoyable time with others during half of full-day sessions while under the care of a professional staff who is trained and skilled in geriatric car, alzheimers care, and therapeutic activity programming. Wicp can provide repite from the fatigue and isolation that accompanies long hours, day-in-day-out in a home setting, for both the caregiver and the care recipient. Wicp functions as an independent, non-profit agency with the oversight of daily operations and professional staff conducted by a volunteer board of directors from the shoals community. Funding comes in the form of client fees and various charitable donations and grants. Wicp receives no federal funding.
