Programs: Too many people in our community do not have access to affordable, high-quality, and timely healthcare. Care Ring works to ensure that individuals with limited resources can establish and maintain good health.
Care Ring provides healthcare access, reduces health disparities, and enables economic mobility, through its Physicians Reach Out, Low-Cost Clinic, and Nurse-Family Partnership programs. We provide an on-site medical home for 1,700 low-income men, women, and children, ensure over 6,000 uninsured patients have access to free specialty care (oncology, dental, etc.) and other services, and provide intensive parenting education and an array of supportive services to almost 400 high-risk mothers.
Care Ring provides much-needed access to primary and specialty health care services to low-income, under/uninsured Mecklenburg County residents, through our Low-Cost Clinic and Physicians Reach Out program. This improves health outcomes for those served, reduces health disparities and saves over $13 million in prevented hospital charges annually.
Care Ring’s Nurse-Family Partnership (NFP) serves vulnerable families, pairing each with a registered nurse, who provides intensive parenting education and supportive services during weekly/biweekly home visits, lasting from mid-pregnancy until the child turns two. NFP creates impactful and enduring health, developmental and economic outcomes for mothers and babies served.
