When I first came to CareNet I was a scared, sick, homeless woman. The women there were so warm and loving. I didn't feel out of place or judged. The wealth of comfort and knowledge I received will never be forgotten. If, for whatever reason, I missed a an appointment, they would call and check on me. Even after I had my Alyssa I continued to go and they continued to help in any way they could. They were a huge blessing in my life. I have recommended them room family and friends and those that went had an equally pleasant experience.

I have volunteered at a CareNet center for over 5 years. No one who works with us would treat any client of any nationality with disrespect. Our counselors go out of their way to be kind and helpful. We have clients who come back again and again. Sometimes even after the baby is born, we have some who come regularly as they have grown to love us as we do them. The reviewer who said they were pushing abortion on her could not have been talking to a CareNet center as that is the opposite as what CareNet is all about. If that really happened at a center then that center should be investigated and if that is true, it should be closed.
At our center we provide gently used cribs, clothing, baby items, and new diapers. We sometimes have formula and baby food. We can refer for other types of help and we help our clients apply for Medicade if they need it. We do ultrasounds free of charge if they clients fits into the parameters that our doctor allows. So do not be reluctant to contact a center near you. Most of the centers are very loving and caring.

I am an educated young woman going through my first (unplanned) pregnancy. Although my boyfriend & I weren't planning on having a baby just yet, we were excited to find out I was pregnant. I had just started a new job and wasn't going to be insured for 90 days, so I took the suggestion of calling CareNet for their free test and ultrasound, just to confirm that the six home pregnancy tests I took were right. The woman on the phone made me very uncomfortable. I explained right away the situation, and that we were planning on raising our child. She cut me off and told me that since I wasn't far along I'd have time to make a "choice." She mentioned abortion 3 times in a 4 minute phone call, even though I kept saying "but we've made a decision. That isn't an option for us." I also mentioned that I would like my boyfriend to be there with me. She told me he could be there if they deemed it "appropriate." When the call ended I was in tears. I was scared about my first pregnancy but I was excited about being a mom. I didn't need my feelings to be disregarded so blatantly.
Care Net is a wonderful organization that provides those within the pro-life movement information and resources that will help them move forward in their mission to defend and protect life. Specifically, they provide legal, medical, and training to equip pregnancy resource centers around the nation so they can stay current on relevant issues, and serve their clients better. Our organization benefits with Care Net's oversight and availability because they work to help answer questions, and guide us to being a strong presence and contributor within the community.

This place does not do what they promise. They force religion on you and do not perform ultrasounds even though they say that they do. They try to get you to think the way they do about everything. They say hurtful things and are emotionless. They bash other pregnancy centers based on rumors. They care more about getting you into religion than they do about your pregnancy. They look down on you if you aren't of a certain age and look/attitude. Their so called free pregnancy test is a dollar store test. I don't know about ALL Care Nets but this is definitely how the Stuart one is. This is what I experienced going there and getting nasty e-mails from one of the employees named Sue Chess.

I have a one month old son, and I have been going to carenet for 10 months for pregnancy support. The staff is very caring and focused on providing for the needs of pregnant couples and for the needs of the unborn and young babies. My husband and I feel very comfortable going to Care Net and sharing any concerns or issues we might be having, as well as anything exciting news we might have. I would recommend Care Net to anyone who is expecting or has a baby. If you need support, advice or just someone to talk to Care Net is the place you want to be.
