Programs: Day habilitation program:chssp day habilitation program is a community-based program designed to help support people to have access to and a choice of participating in various activities. Activities include cultural, educational, health/wellness, and other opportunities designed to develop and continuously improve skills for adult independence. Day habilitation provides training and improve skills for adult independence. Day habilitation provides training and skills development in community, volunteering and communication.
employment readiness:chssp employment readiness program assists people with developmental disabilities to prepare for paid employment. We provide all of our support in the community and ensure people have varying experiences as volunteers or interns, enables them to acquire "soft" as well as technical skills. Outcomes for people include the ability to build a resume, display knowledge about workplace competencies, acquire and retain employment, and manage transitions when changing jobs.
our individualized day services provides: - activities and community-based opportunities for personal skill development for adults. We support socialization, participation in membership-based community groups and associations, and forming and maintaining relationships with other community members. - community membership- joining social groups, advocacy groups, and senior groups of choice- career exploration & employment- job seeking opportunities, ged classes, computer classes, entrepreneur, soft skills development, and resume building, etc. - community contribution- assisting people to actively support their neighborhoods, improving the community as a good place to live or work. - retirement (for people 61 and older)- relationships & natural supports
