Causes: Civil Rights, Disabilities, Disabled Persons Rights
Mission: The purpose of the organization is to advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, to promote a barrier-free environment for all, and to provide independent living services to people with disabilities.
Target demographics: people with any disability, of all ages and all incomes.
Geographic areas served: Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Gosnold and Nantucket
Programs: Individual Services: Information & Referral Advocacy Peer Support Skills Training Service Coordination Youth Programs: Transition to Adulthood Program - Helping prepare youths with disabilities for life after high school Work Readiness and Preparation - A Pre-ETS program preparing youths with disabilities for entering the workforce and college Community Services: Workshops on disability rights, services, assistive devices and disability issues Technical assistance on disability rights, access and interacting with people with disabilities Systems advocacy such as improving transportation, increasing access to housing and protecting the Americans with Disabilities Act All services are FREE!
