Mission: To provide supervised home living and related services for adults with intellectual disabilities and a concurrent diagnosis of autism or other communication disorder.
Programs: The supported employment program began during fiscal year 2011-2012. It is funded by the north carolina division of vocational rehabilitation services. It has expanded into a number of counties since 2012. The supported employment program was established to assist individuals with disabilities to procure and retain competitive employment in the community. We are currently approved to provide the services of community based evaluations, job development, job coaching and intensive training and support.
home programming is comprised of family-style living, home economics, community interactions, self help and self direction skills, personal responsibility, socialization, community outings and special events. Cape fear group homes, inc. Operates two group homes with six resident clients in each.
the day program is a licensed sheltered workshop including services for clients in practical academics, meaningful vocational training and supported employment, independent living skills, community interaction skills and other habilitation training based on assessed personal needs.
