Programs: Accomplishment: in the furtherance of this mission,this year we provided scholarship and grant funding to various nonprofits entities engage in providing educational opportunities to economically challenged individuals. We also partnered with california state dominguez hills, cal state los angeles, cal state university northridge, california poly pomona, cal state long beach, and various high schools to help fund the education of high school and college student interested in learning tax law, and auditing, business development skills. One of the successful goals of the program was to assist students in becoming certified as and irs certified tax preparers. The students participated in college based courses, and a irs and boe certification program. They also received on the job training as part of the federal and state volunteer income tax preparation program; in partnership with the internal revenue service, franchise tax board, employment development department, and board of equalization. Others receive internship opportunities to help pay for their college education. California educational solutions also sponsored our second annual college bound conference where over 800 high schools student, from socially economically challenged communities, participated in various sessions that educated them on requirements to enhance their career opportunities upon completion of a certificated or college educational programs. Grants were also provided to several nonprofit organizations that prepares children socially and academically for a higher education; to help break the cycle of poverty and improved the quality of life for all californians.
