Fulfillment Fund is focused on providing access to all students in the Los Angeles area and meeting them where they are at in their educational journey. This access allows educational equity to all students, especially students from low-income and under resourced communities. Fulfillment Fund is truly mission-oriented.

I've watched Fulfillment Fund help vulnerable students in Los Angeles prepare for college during all of the catastrophes of the revised FAFSA form rollout in 2024. Education is such a critical tool for empowerment, and the counselors and advisors at FF consistently show up for young people in ways that affirm their identity and create a sense of hope, optimism and self-determination.

I have been a volunteer, donor and board committee member for the Fulfillment Fund over 15 years. The staff and leadership are outstanding; totally committed to the students, the mission and the community. One of the best aspects is they are constantly innovating to maintain the highest quality of service and work with all LAUSD students regardless of background. Fulfillment Fund is a key partner to the LAUSD schools to help students succeed and thrive!

I was an individual mentor from 1996-2000 and 2011-2015, matched with 2 different students, from the end of 8th grade through their high school graduation. I saw what a difference Fulfillment Fund made in their educational trajectory. They have both grown into marvelous young women with bachelor's degrees, productive careers, each a mother of a young child. The Fulfillment Fund was crucial with providing support, educational resources and financial assistance to get them where they are today. We are still in touch with one another. I could not be prouder of them, nor more grateful to the Fulfillment Fund!

Fulfillment Fund directly helps underserved communities by providing them with a path to college and beyond. The ripple effect of what it accomplishes is astounding, as it directly helps and serves students chart and mobilize a path to college with information and money. Those students go on to help others and so the success multiplies. I believe this charity is one of the most worthwhile projects serving people.

I've been part of Fulfillment Fund for various years now. I've been fortunate to not only be a student at Fulfillment Fund in middle school and college but also be a college success intern during my sophomore year of college. Fulfillment Fund has provided me with many resources such as a scholarship to help ease the worries of paying for my college education and access to mentors. Fulfillment Fund has offered me many opportunities to succeed in my college journey such as professional development and networking opportunities which have helped me become a well-rounded student. It is because of Fulfillment Fund and its resources that make me feel prepared and eager to thrive in the workforce after graduation.

I am grateful to the Fulfillment Fund for investing in me back in 10th grade. The Fund provided resources, mentoring, activities and inspiration for me. As a result I not only graduated from High School but went a prestigious university and also attended graduate school. I have had the pleasure of giving back to the Fund in meaningful ways - not just financially but through my time as an alumni, board member and even mentored a high school student a few years ago. This organization is changing lives every day!

A friend on the Fulfillment Fund board invited us to a fundraising dinner and my wife and I were immediately taken in by the very important mission of Fulfillment Fund -- helping get students from underserved public high schools in Los Angeles become motivated for college, get admitted, have a successful experience at college and beginning their careers. We have been excited to be donors but more importantly to get directly involved with the leadership of Fulfillment Fund. It's board leadership and staff are remarkably dedicated to the cause and the impact of Fulfillment Fund is expanding. We can't speak more highly of any organization in which we are involved.

The Fulfillment fund has embraced and assisted inner city youth in the Los Angeles area for over 40 years. They are a "best in the business" organization and have made a positive difference in hundreds and hundreds of lives.

As our nation seeks greater opportunity for all, education is the great equalizer. In underserved communities, it offers students a path towards upward financial and social mobility and a chance to change their lives forever. The Fulfillment Fund serves thousands of these diverse students annually, giving them support to stay and succeed in school, engage in outstanding College Access programs, enjoy personalized College Counseling, and benefit from Career Readiness programs to help prepare them to achieve their career goals. As a testament to its success, last year 93% of Fulfillment Fund high school seniors graduated, 82% went on to college, and the six-year college graduation rate for its students was 92%. All these metrics far surpass those achieved across the broader public education spectrum, thus making the Fulfillment Fund one of the premier organizations in its field.

The work this organization does is incredibly important in our community, in Los Angeles. Helping kids from economically under-resourced communities get into and graduate from college is critical to breaking the cycle of poverty for the kids and their families. I have seen first hand many kids who have benefitted from the work of Fulfillment Fund and how it's set them on a path to being educated and economically independent. The CEO is dynamic and an excellent communicator. The board is engaged. The staff is top notch. The reputation of the organization in the community is excellent.

Great organization with a critical mission to make college a reality for students in under-resourced communities in Los Angeles. They are helping thousands of students and their families through this journey during their high school years and into their secondary education. I was introduced to the FF through a board member. When looking to fill a position at my agency, I was connected to a FF college graduate, interviewing and hiring her. During the 3 years she was with our company, I learned in depth how FF impacted her life. As a first-generation college graduate, she believes that she wouldn't have gotten this far without the program, resources, and support. It was a bittersweet goodbye when she left last summer to go on to get her MBA at UCLA Anderson. She was a terrific employee and is now a good friend who I am so proud to watch grow. Through their dedication, FF creates miracles every day.

I have been a part of Fulfillment since my Junior year in high school. They have shown full support through my college years through one-on-one counseling and workshops. They even helped me transfer to a four-year school. I could not have done it without them.

Fulfillment Fund began helping me during my high school years with understanding college applications as well as financial aid applications. It is because of them that I was able to fully understand the process one needs to go through for FAFSA. Furthermore, they have given me the opportunity to give back to my community by allowing me to be a mentor for college first and second years. Overall, I believe in their mission to help underrepresented students from high school all the way through college and beyond.

I started attending a fulfillment fund in my junior year or sophomore year of high school and I'm still in it during my senior year of college. In this program, I got different opportunities to go to different meetings, such as career exploration, resume building, webinars for stress or motivation, etc. There are different ways I could build up some networking skills, whether it's on LinkedIn or for upcoming interviews etc. I was able to apply for opportunities with different internships and scholarships. I learned different things in this program that can help me now as well as in the future with the different choices that I make for myself.

Fulfillment Fund has been helping me since my freshman year of high school. They have played a large role in my success in higher education and continue to guide me in the right direction. When the time came to apply to colleges they took me on trips to visit various schools which aided me in visualizing myself as someone capable of even going to college. The counseling and guidance they provided extended beyond purely academics. They included advice on financial wellness and managing mental health. I am very grateful to have been a part of Fulfillment Fund and have them with me on my journey from high school to Santa Monica College and ultimately UCLA.

Fulfillment Fund began helping me in high school. They were the ones who took us on college campus trips & tours around California. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t have known the options to pay for college and filling out the FAFSA. With their help I was able to feel supported during my 2 years at community college, up until now for my last year at UCLA. To this day I like attending their workshops because I am able to learn something new, whether it be for my future career goals or my personal goals. The staff at Fulfillment Fund and the organization are amazing. As a first-generation, Latino, I don't think I could have navigated the college process by myself, but with the amazing help of staff like Ms. Diane and Gus, I was able to apply to college and earn prestigious scholarships that allowed me to graduate college debt-free. Fulfillment Fund did not only help me apply to college but it also helped me be able to reach the college finish line and secure my first internship at an amazing Firm. Fulfillment Fund allows you to turn your dreams into reality.

With this foundation, I have felt nothing but support both emotionally and through education. There have been many times where I have needed professional help with finances, class schedules, etc. and there has always been someone to help me as soon as they could. Regardless of my problems, they have always found a way to help me out and figure out alternatives on how to resolve them. The constant check-ups and being available around the clock have been very helpful. The webinars and events that have been held have been very helpful in directing me in the correct direction during and potentially after college.

I have been volunteering with the Fulfillment Fund for a little over two years, and I have really enjoyed my experience so far. Everyone I have interacted with at all levels of the organization has been wonderful. The Fulfillment Fund comprised off a team of incredibly hardworking individuals who are united in their passion for the organization's strategic objectives and, ultimately, the success of each and every student they serve. The organization does such critical work for the Los Angeles community with their focus on college access and persistence--and they do it exceptionally well, having continued to iterate on their approach over the course of more than 4 decades. The impact becomes so clear when you meet the students the organization serves and hear them talk about their experience with the Fulfillment Fund and their counselors. In addition to countless student stories, the organization can point to years of meticulously tracked impact metrics that demonstrate its clear value to the community. COVID has presented enormous challenges for schools over the past year and a half. I have been so impressed with how innovative the Fulfillment Fund has been in how it has adapted to a constantly evolving set of challenges. Throughout all of it, the organization has continued to push itself to ensure it is set up for long-term success--dealing with day-to-day obstacle while keeping a strong focus on its long-term goals and ability to deliver impact. I'm very excited for all that the Fulfillment Fund has in store for the years ahead.

I’ve been a part of the Fulfillment Fund for 10+ years now. Over the years, they’ve provided me with mentorship, academic counseling and a general support system that was critical to my academic career and the start of my professional career. I am where I am today in big part because of the Fulfillment Fund.

The Fulfillment Fund set me up for higher education by providing me with resources that wouldn’t have otherwise been available to me, as a First-Generation, Low-Income Latinx student. Beyond help navigating academic resources in high school, the college application process, the financial aid process, scholarships, and various other academic opportunities, the entire staff serves as consistent motivation at every step; they genuinely care for every single one of their students.

Because of the Fulfillment Fund, I made it to and graduated from Stanford University on a full ride as a Gates Millenium Scholarship recipient. I can’t thank them enough for what they’ve done, and continue to do, for me, my family and so many other students.

I’ve been part of the Fulfillment Fund for over 13 years. I was introduced to the Fulfillment Fund in high school and with their guidance, support and encouragement, I became the first person in my family to attend college. Fulfillment Fund helped me through every step of the college application and financial aid process. With Fulfillment Fund’s support I was able to attend UCLA with a full ride scholarship.

There are many things that make Fulfillment Fund an incredible organization. The first one is the staff. Every Fulfillment Fund staff genuinely cares about the students they serve and go above and beyond to support their students. Secondly, Fulfillment Fund doesn’t just stop when you graduate high school. Fulfillment Fund continues to support their students throughout college with college counseling and professional development workshops.

I’ve been volunteering with a Fulfillment find for almost 2 years now and it has been such a fulfilling experience! With every interaction, it is clear and evident how genuine the Fulfillment Fund members are and how special the cause is to everyone. COVID-19 has exasperated many pain points for the LA student community and has created new challenges as well. Fulfillment Fund has been proactive and diligent to work through these problems and works to best support their students. The Fulfillment Fund is an organization with incredibly passionate staff, who are deeply committed to furthering equity in education. Although their work has touched the lives of students for many years, their efforts have been especially impactful during the COVID-19 pandemic as students adjust to entirely new ways of learning, visit schools remotely, and approach a difficult job market after graduation. With each of these challenges in mind, the Fulfillment Fund has adapted to support students where they are, seamlessly shifting fundraising and student-facing events online. I feel so privileged to have been a volunteer for the past couple of years and could not recommend this organization more highly!

The Fulfillment Fund is an incredible organization doing incredible things. And, they've been doing them for over 30 years. They've made college a reality for so many first-generation and lower-income students, providing necessary support and guidance to help them succeed. 93% of students in the program graduate high school, 96% awarded financial aid, and 90% graduate college. Those statistics alone demonstrate the impact this organization has had, given that in California, less than half of those ages 18-24 even enroll in college. Furthermore, the organization invests in what matters: events that help the students gain the knowledge they need. These events, such as Destination College, rely on the support of volunteers and hosts thousands of students, providing them with an introduction to the journey to higher education through workshops and discussions. This organization is doing real things to change the lives of so many hard working and aspiring young students.

Amazing non-profit that not only gives back to our community but also promotes education to underserved population.

I have worked with the Fulfillment Fund in several volunteer capacities over the last 6 years. I have never met a group of staff that is more committed to the cause--in this case helping kids get into and succeed in college. They are constantly striving to be better, help more, and overall improve the organization. I was looking for a very long time for a group that helps kids get educated in the way that the Fulfillment Fund does. They are wonderfully attentive and helpful in a process that is otherwise quite scary, and the proof is in the pudding.

As a business owner, I have benefitted first hand from the work of the Fulfillment Fund. I hired a college graduate from their program and she has excelled in our company beyond expectations. She tells me often about the opportunities and resources she was given to help her through high school and onto college. As a first-generation graduate, she truly is a byproduct of the amazing love and care that goes into the work of Fulfillment Fund. These kids are given solid ground in often challenging situations. I can't think of a better organization that truly cares that no child is left behind.

The support the Fund gives is monetary, academic, assistance with choosing college prep classes, tutoring, seminars in what to expect in college, how to budget, how to be successful , looking at different colleges etc. I have met personally with students and their support staff, attended their support seminars. I am so impressed with the quality of the support provided to these students and the rate of success of these low income , proud and focused students. Amazing and wonderful!!

I applied to be a mentor 2 years ago. The Fund matches mentors and mentees very carefully and provides a lot of support and training for mentors. We do something fun together once a month. The Fulfillment Fund does an excellent job at encouraging students to attend college and outlines a general brighter future by giving access to a world that would not have existed before their help. Though the financial support gives great resources the counseling and never-ending motivation is invaluable for both high school and college students.

As a former Fulfillment Fund scholarship recipient and a current student under the organization, I believe my dream of obtaining a college education wouldn't have been possible without the Fund. The Fund really educates it's students in terms of their college financial needs and obligations to make sure each student knows what they're getting into after choosing the university they plan on attending. The Fund also provides whatever other support a student may need until their goal of a college degree is obtained. In short, this organization believes in it's students and has a high success rate in it's goal of making college dreams because of it's extraordinary diligence and care.

I applied to be a mentor 2 years ago. I was really impressed by the Fund's vetting process and they put a lot of thought into the Mentor/Mentee match. We do something fun/interesting/new once a month. It is exciting to see LA through my mentee's eyes; she just hasn't had the opportunity to do many things that most of us take for granted. It is a wonderful and meaningful volunteer experience. If you'd like to make a real difference in a young person's life,you should check it out!

The Fulfillment Fund is extraordinary! They help students such as myself from low-economic backgrounds have the opportunity to understand what college is and how to get to college. Many students such as myself, have parents that did not make it to High School or even Middle School and cannot explain the process of getting to college. Fulfillment Fund mentors are the best! Mentors such as Ms. Riesch and Ms. Zamudio help us students, as well as our families understand that despite our low budge, college is still possible.

Not to mention that the Fulfillment Fund Scholarship is very much appreciated as well! Helps with college costs, such as buying your books for class and utensils. I really have no idea where I would be without the Fulfillment Fund and their encouragement. Thanks to their help, I am now onto my Junior year at the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John's University (in Minnesota). Without their encouragement I do not think I would have made the choice to go there, thankfully I did!

My greatest and most satisfying volunteer experience was the role of mentor for a student of the Fulfillment Fund. I cannot speak any prouder about an organization that goes above and beyond their mission statement than the Fulfillment Fund. This organization is fun, respectful and supportive to both students and those voleunteers who decide to be a mentor.

I immigrated to the United States in 2012. I have attended high school in Los Angeles as a Junior. Obviously, I did not know anything about the college application process or the educational system. The Fulfillment Fund has always been by my side since day one making sure I on the right track to fulfill my dreams. I have been to 3 college trips that they organized, and I still consider them to be one of my greatest experiences that made me make life decisions regarding college. I have also been a Fulfillment Fund ambassador during my senior year helping other seniors like me to complete their college applications and reminding them of all the important deadlines. I got accepted to a lot of great 4-year colleges but preferred to go to Community College to save money, and now I am an intern in the Fulfillment Fund. This is how Fulfillment Fund has changed my life. This is how great they are.

It's hard for me to remember the exact date of when I was first introduced to this organization because I honestly didn't think they could possibly affect my life in anyway; but boy I was so wrong! It has been around six-seven years now that I have known of them and have been receiving their help. They make sure to engage with students in classrooms when introducing them with college information, take them on college campus tours, and even provide some of them with scholarships. I was lucky enough to be elected as one of their scholarship recipients and am now going on my fourth year with this benefit. I receive my scholarship at the beginning of each semester, always arriving just in time to help me with college books and transportation fees. They work hard on staying in your life past your high school experience-- I often find emails from them in my inbox and am quick to open them! The Fulfillment Fund is truly an organization that cares and strives to help those who need it by offering us with never-ending opportunities to gasp onto.

The Fulfillment Fund is the absolute BEST!!! I am so thankful for all of the support that they have given me throughout the years-- from helping with my personal statement to providing me with great internship opportunities. I know that I can always depend on the Fulfillment fund! With their help, I have made a successful transition to college and I have been able to pay for my books and other school expenses. I am so thankful for this wonderful organization. This organization thrives on the principle of increasing the chance for a low income student to go to college as well as graduate and become successful through education. Without this organization I would probably not be in such a great position that I am currently in right now. The whole college process and transition from high school to college was made possible through the fulfillment fund. I was lucky enough to have amazing fulfillment fund college advisers because they truly care about you. Mrs. Elizabeth and Ms. Riesch were both spectacular and always encouraged me to find endless possibilities to numerous opportunities because they only want the best for their students and nothing less. I would be completely lost as to what was needed in order to go to college because before I did not know how to write a personal letter or a resume but fulfillment fund made sure to advise us as to what we should write and how to present them. Words cannot explain how thankful I am to be apart of such a phenomenal organization filled with spectacular people working to help out the community.

OMG i can not stress enough how thankful i am for the Fulfillment Fund. They have guided me all the way from high school until now, my last year in college. They introduced me to the university that i will graduate from in May. Thanks to the scholarship provided from the Fulfillment Fund I am able to attend college and pay for books and materials. I cannot stress how life-changing this organization has been to my life.
I am the 1st generation to go to college, and even though it was difficult to break the cycle in my family, the Fulfillment Fund made it possible.

The Fulfillment Fund was absolutely the most helpful program at my high school regarding preparation and knowledge gained from college. They help and prepare you through application process and how to prepare yourself for the personal statements. They offer countless events where you get first hand experience at college and what it's like to be a college student. It's an amazing program that continues to help students grow and have a higher success in getting into a university or institute.

I have been blessed to be a part of the fulfillment fund since I was in high school. I am currently a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison majoring in Psychology, Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in studio art. Coming to college, although there were some obstacles, was a much easier transition thanks to the preparedness the fulfillment fund program provided me with. Also, on a much more personal level, my counselor in high school through the fulfillment fund made me feel confident enough in myself to persist through college and I could not be more grateful for her and for the program overall. The scholarship they have provided me with has given me the opportunity to not have to work as much and focus more on developing my identity as an adult and my academics. They are amazing people and deserve all the support possible.

I have been a participant in The Fulfillment Fund since my second year of high school. From the first day of my being part of their organization I have been welcomed with open arms. They have helped me find my way through life. Being that I am a first generation student, life after high school was all unfamiliar to me. With the help of The Fulfillment Fund I have been able to take everyday step by step. When times get hard it is pleasing to know that there is a shoulder who is very familiar with my struggles to help me. If it was not for The Fulfillment Fund being there for me I could not have achieved and gained as many opportunities as I have now.

The Fulfillment Fund is a resourceful and empowering nonprofit organization that I have been part of for six years. A review isn't enough to show how grateful I am for the amount of help they provide for students that live in low income communities. They constantly encourage students to pursue higher education and provide them with resources to help them achieve it. Not only do they provide support while students are in high school, but also try and keep in contact with them while they are in college through events or provide them with opportunities for internships. They definitely helped me throughout high school when it came to finding a school and the whole application process. They are kind and patient and you can tell this is something the workers are passionate about. I still receive their help due to the fulfillment fund scholarship which helps me with groceries and books while I am in school. I am glad I am still part of such a warm organization that genuinely cares about students from low income communities making it to college.

The Fulfillment Fund is an open environment where i was able to thrive and find my true colors. They have been with me since middle school and i still have close ties to them while in college. the fulfillment fund was helped me though school and does well with students by partnering them with a mentor who is well engaged in the students life academically and socially. i am pleased and grateful to have been part of such a great and inspirational program. due to them i was able to get through high school and get accepted into a great university. The Fulfillment Fund has been there for me from the beginning, they have helped me in finding a college during my high school days. Being a intern at the Fulfillment Fund has been a life changing experience. Being able to help inner city students prepare for college is the most rewarding, thing I've ever done in my young career life, I hope to continue to support the Fulfillment Fund in any other way that I can in the future.

Fulfillment Fund helped me believe in myself. I remember when I first applied for the scholarship I didn't feel like my personal statement was much. I always thought that because my personal statement was so bad I didn't get into anywhere good because my College isn't well known. However the people there like Karina and David were so supportive of my college decision and were rooting me on. They told me to never give up and when I called them because my first year in college was quite difficult they told me that everything would be okay because I have made it this far. The fulfillment fund has helped me find the school of my first choice and provided me with various opportunities to explore places out of my reach for travel in order to help me on my college search. With their scholarship, I have been able to pay off almost all of the gap I owe to the school, thus lifting the stress of financial aid off of my parents' shoulders. The mentoring and college counseling program is a big part of what makes Fulfillment Fund special for me. I am still visiting my mentor (Ruby) and we keep in touch while I am in college, even after graduating high school! I sometimes don't see her as a mentor but a friend that will always be there, and I will thank Fulfillment Fund for that. As well as I am a double major in the sciences it's hard to work and keeping up with everything, and being a Fulfillment Fund scholar, it relieves me of some stress that I do not have to carry on my shoulders to be in an out-of-state University. Viewers help spread the word of Fulfillment Fund, it is indeed life-changing.

I started at the Fulfillment Fund as a high school student paired up with a mentor. My mentor helped me through the process of applying for colleges/universities and helped me meet any deadlines for any paperwork needed. Without her and the Fulfillment Fund going to a four year university felt almost impossible not only financially, but also statistically. I was going through a really hard time back then and they couldn't have come into my life at a better time! I am now working as a volunteer with the organization because I want to give to people what they were able to give me, which is hope for a better future!

I have been part of Fulfillment Fund for the past 6 years and thankful the relationships I have built with the organization. From overnight college trips to supporting me through your financial aid experience, Fulfillment Fund has played a important role in making my dream of going to college reality. The Fulfillment Fund stepped into my life at a crucial time during my youth. Thanks to the mentor I was matched with I started to see college as a reality and decided to set higher goals for myself. Before the FF I was going to be a cab driver like my family. However, once I was privy to what type of life I could live if I got an education I knew that college was in the cards for me.
Once I was on the right track they helped propel my educational endeavors through various scholarships, stipends for applications, free SAT prep, free college visits across the nation and an opportunity to work with the Women's Leadership Council.
This along with my Pepperdine education led me to my dream job right out of college. I am now an Associate Private Banker at one of the top banks in the world.
Suffice to say that the Fulfillment Fund changed my life and I am forever grateful.

Seeing the college experiences in movies and television shows was as far as my knowledge went in regards to higher education. As I entered high school I knew I wanted to graduate because that is what my parents have instilled in me since a young girl, therefore my mind was focused on graduating. What came after graduation was not in mind, but then came the Fulfillment Fund and they opened up a whole new door to a wonderland of colleges and universities. From what I needed to do in high school in order to graduate, to the college tours, Destination College and other college fairs, to understanding our financial aid letters and tips on surviving and conquering the real world is what the Fulfillment Fund has done for me. It not only has educated me about higher education, but it has provided me with resources that have been very useful in the work place. The mentors and friends gained from this amazing organization are people who are life changers and I and my family will forever be great flu for everything they have done.

The Fulfillment Fund is literally opening doors to amazing opportunities to hundreds of inner city kids. As an alumna of the program, I can truly say that the Fulfillment Fund has had a major positive impact in many of my life stages. Through the program, I had access to college counseling during high school, college application assistance, college integration support, college scholarships, college internships, post-graduate school counseling, post-graduate admission test preparation assistance, and the list goes on. I am now a California licensed attorney and I sit on the board of the Fulfillment Fund Alumni Ambassadors group and other non-profit organizations. Without the Fulfillment Fund, I doubt I would have been able to overcome the many adversities I faced as a young adult including being an immigrant from a foreign country, growing up in a single-parent minimum wage household in South Central Los Angeles, and becoming a teen parent in high school. Ive been involved with fulfillment fund since my Sophomore year in High School and now I am a senior in college and Fulfillment Fund is still a great support system.

I have been involved with the Fulfillment Fund since high school. Since I have been involved with this organization, they have done more for me than I could list here. They are a wonderful organization that relentlessly tries to help all students succeed and any student is lucky to receive their help.

I have been receiving service from the fulfillment fund since my sophomore or junior year in high school. I am now a senior in college. I owe so much of my success to the fulfillment fund organization. Entering into college, I earned a 3,000 dollar scholarship commitment from them which equalled out to my first couple of years in college. Somehow, they have managed to keep me covered twice a school year for my entire college career(assuring me that they wanted to do what they could to see that I fulfilled my dreams of graduating college). This is why fulfillment fund is one of the best programs that I have ever been in, I physically feel them changing my life. There is no guessing where and how they help me. I can still remember names and faces of my high school advisors. I have never felt burdened by fulfillment fund obligations, contrarily- I truly want to do what I can to help them remain a beacon of change in my neighborhood. I wish to one day be a sponsor to a student like myself attempting to excel in a system of education which doesn't intend to serve my best interests.

The Fulfillment Fund has been there for me since freshmen year of high school and I couldn't be more grateful. Classroom visits, college trips, mentors, Destination College, always eager and helpful counselors, and scholarships only describe some of the services that the Fulfillment Fund offered to everyone in my high school. I know I wouldn't be where I am if it weren't for all the support that they provided. Because while I greatly appreciated the fun college trips, and the scholarship money, I know the staff is their most valuable asset. The counselors that worked with me were always calling me to make sure I was on the right path. They gave me advice on choosing a college and even helped me edit my early decision application essays, even visiting me in the school I transferred to my senior year to get them turned in on time. If it weren't for the positive environment that they helped create in my school I'm not sure how passionate or inspired I'd be about my education. Their presence in my school gives me a sense of security because I know that they will help students (like my younger sister) get to where they are meant to be.

The Fulfillment Fund has impacted my life tremendously. As a high school student it provided me with mentorship and guidance towards applying to colleges and universities. Through their constant reminders about deadlines and their counseling programs I am now able to have a higher education at a prestigious college in the East Coast. After graduating high school their support continued in a form of a scholarship which helped me pay my tuition gap for my first and second year of college. As a Fulfillment Fund scholar, I also benefit from programs within the Fulfillment Fund like the internship program, all which I am very thankful for. The Fulfillment Fund is a great organization that helps unprivileged students attain a higher education.

Being an alum of the Fulfillment Fund, I can attest to how wonderful the organization is. I was introduced to them by chance when I switched schools and was placed into an English class where the students happened to be selected to be paired with the Fund. That semester we were reading Shakespeare's The Tempest, after which The Fulfillment Fund provided the means for our class to travel to all the way to Ashland, Oregon to experience the play in person at the Annual Shakespeare Festival. That trip forever changed my life in that it exposed me to things that I never thought I would have the opportunity to see or do. It was an enlightening and bonding experience for our class from educational, social and culture aspects. Because of the Fund, I became much more serious in my academics and future ambitions. They continued to provide the resources and support that I needed in my education and still do to thousands of students. I choose to continue to volunteer with them in varying aspects because of the impact they have had in my life.

The Fulfillment Fund has done so much for students all across the country that most students wouldn't have went to college if it was for their support. If it wasn't for their support in high school, I probably wouldn't have gone to college. But thanks to them, I did and now they are helping my younger sister the same way they helped me. I can't express how happy I am to be a Fulfillment Fund participant because it means so much to me that the Fulfillment goes up and beyond to help students go to college.

The Fulfillment Fund has really changed my life. They helped me get into college and I honestly believe that I would not be where I am at today without them. The Fulfillment Fund showed me that it was possible to go to college and they showed me the steps on how to get there. As a recipient of the Fulfillment Fund scholarship and student under their advising, I have to say their mentors and members have been extremely helpful and any aspects of my college experience. As part of the first generation child to attend a university, I didn't have anyone to turn to for help or advice on the matter but thanks to the Fulfillment Fund program at my high school, I had all my questions and concerns answered as well as the confidence to move on forward and attend to colleges and universities in order to further my education. I really have appreciated everything they have done for me and I wish that other students have the same opportunity to experience the amazing things the Fulfillment Fund is capable of.

The Fulfillment Fund is one of the few things in life that I can wholeheartedly say I am grateful for. They have helped me pay for my text books and school material and so I consider them life savers because they keep me from falling behind in class. It's really nice to know that someone outside of family does support you and shows that they genuinely care about you and your future. They really want you to succeed. The Fulfillment Fund does a good job at keeping contact with you by hosting events and sending emails that contain scholarship opportunities, internships, and news about other students who have graduated or going above and beyond what they once thought capable of. When I read their stories I get encouraged that one day I'll do that or I will end up succeeding in something I love doing. The Fulfillment Fund does a great job of building individual relationships with students. I never saw the Fulfillment Fund as an organization that provides charity. When I think of the Fulfillment Fund, I think of the people who took the time to listen and make me feel like there was someone who cared about my future. These kind of people are hard to come across in LAUSD.

Initially I was hesitant to volunteer as a mentor, knowing the time and emotional commitment that came with the job. However, upon my first mentee meeting, it became overwhelmingly clear that this was no job, but a lifelong relationship...friendship....that I have been blessed to be given. You become so much more than just a role model, you become an extended family member. Fulfillment Fund has done a wonderful job in not only preparing me for my role as mentor, but matching me with a candidate that shares my personality traits and zest for life. The FF staff is readily available to answer questions and is always quick to offer help. In truth, it has been an honor to be involved with this organization.

Hello my name is Ana Brito. Am currently attending El Camino College, majoring in Child Development. I was introduced to the Fulfillment Fund in High School (10th grade). The Fulfillment Fund was a great help, they took me to colleges and universities around California, apply for college, and understand how colleges and universities work and its requirements. I was also lucky to be chosen to go to Washington DC with other high school students. It was a great experience and I’m thankful that I had a chance to experience something new in my life. I'm also thankful to the Fulfillment Fund for given me the opportunity to explore new adventures. Not only did the Fulfillment Fund help during high school but also when I was attending College, I would receive $50 for books every fall and spring semester. The Fulfillment Fund is a great organization helping high school and college students.

Thanks to the Fulfillment I was able to attend two different college trips (before applying for my undergraduate program), a writers conference and gain valuable internship experience during my summers as an undergraduate. They were key in my early professional development and I am very grateful for that.

In my case, Fulfillment Fund made my educational life a lot easier and if it wouldn't be for the scholship that I got from it probably I wouldn't have graduated on time form college since I have many economic difficulties paying for my college tution. Therefore, I salute all the donors, volunteers, people, orgazations etc., involved in Fulfillment Fund. This nonprofit organization is just simply the best for all low economic and disadvantaged students of ethnic background.

This a great organization that services the youths that are often overlooked. They stayed with me from a freshman in high school to a college graduate, providing SAT prep, college trips, stipends, internships, and care packages during finals. They are the very definition of Non-profit, and I can't wait till I am able to give back to the organization.

Initially, they connected me with a mentor who helped me believe that I could make it to college, regardless of the obstacles that were in place. Once in college, the Fulfillment Fund continued to support me through their scholarship program and the post-secondary services they provide, such as internship opportunities. I am currently a mentor to a high school student and I serve on the Fulfillment Fund's Leadership Council, which is a group of young professionals who provide fundraising and program support. They have been in L.A. for over 30 years and have a proven track record of success. I am proud to be associated with a group that gets real results and has improved the lives of so many young people.

I have been with the Fund for over 20 years. I started as a scholar through junior high and high school and scholarship recipient in college and continued working with the fund as a volunteer and now as a donor/sponsor. I have continued with the Fund because it fulfills the promise that through education one can accomplish many things that would not have been possible otherwise. Now as a psychologist and working with an underserved population I am appreciating even more how much the Fund did for me; exposure to new things and environments as well as the freedom to dream beyond my limitations and make those dreams a reality.

Through mentoring services, college access programs, college/career counseling and scholarships among other wonderful programs and opportunities, the Fulfillment Fund has helped thousands of students achieve high school graduation, college attainment and college graduation.

The Fulfillment Fund is such a great organization that cares about their students. This organization is dedicated to maintaining the relationship with their students not only throughout high school and college, but also post-college graduation. I give the organization an A for their commitment, dedication, and the outcome of their support.
