Mission: Ca association of family empowerment centers provides information, resources, technical assistance, and systems change advocacy to a statewide network of local family empowerment centers (fecs) who support families of children with disabilities ages 3-22 years old.
Programs: Family empowerment council (fec). The purpose of the family empowerment and disability council (council) is to develop and maintain a statewide technical assistance and advocacy disability network that consists of the 14 family empowerment centers on disability (centers) serving parents and families of children with disabilities who are ages three to twenty-two years. The council must also provide coordination of training, information and materials; management; assistance to each center for building its capacity to serve; establishment of outcome-based evaluation procedures; media outreach efforts; and support for system change advocacy efforts.
