Causes: Job Training
Mission: The california american fire sprinkler association is a non-profit association with a dual mission: 1) promoting an environment that attracts, trains and retains men and women within the fire sprinkler industry through a comprehensive apprenticeship training program. 2) promoting, developing and supporting a climate which sustains and enhances the long term viability of the fire sprinkler industry through coordinating member services.

The cafsa program operates under the full recognition and approval of the state of california's division of apprenticeship standards, allowing equal access to bid and perform public work jobs using fully certified apprentices as well as recognized journey persons. Once the exclusive domain of contracting operations bound to collective bargaining agreements, such state, local and federal public works apprenticeship recognition is now available to committed and quality conscious "merit shop" contractors who understand the importance of a level playing field. In partnership with the cafsa's apprenticeship program, participating contractors stay informed of the latest developments in the fire sprinkler industry, increase competitiveness, productivity and profitability by utilizing a well trained work force, and cut operating costs through the reduction of mistakes and on-the-job accidents.
