Since volunteering with this organization I've learned a lot about the founder and how he spends the money that is donated. I could never recommend giving a dollar to this man. He got over a million dollars in money donations but everything that is done like giving supplies and clearing downed trees is either donated for free or done by people working for free. Meanwhile he gave himself a $300,000 salary and took vacations using donations and called it a business expense. He has some people who he hires but he screams and yells at them and then takes months or years to pay them after they've done the work. He hires businesses and uses their services and either doesn't pay them or pays them way late. I'm proud of the work I did for my community but I wish I had found another organization to do it through. The more I look into this man, the more I find out that is just a shame. Beware!
