Mission: Our mission at B4TB is to honor the memory of our son, Alexander N.Conley, who took his life at only 21 yrs old February 7, 2016. Alex was a true friend to many, answering the call to help anyone suffering mental illness 24/7 all the while hiding his own pain. Our loss bloomed into a great desire to help our nations heroes. From the day a hero asks for our help we provide 24/7/365 service to them. We strive to be the light in the darkest places. It is our honor and duty to be the person who answers the call for help. We will provide as many battle buddies as possible every year because we truly believe the healing power of a dog.
Results: Since our beginnings in 2016 our B4TB Facebook family family has grown to almost 3000, this does not include our email heroes that don’t do social media. We have to date only lost one hero that was waiting on a battle buddy to suicide. Unfortunately he never reached out to for help. I’m the beginning we were giving 1 out of 5 pups to heroes having to sell the rest to pay expenses. I’m proud to say that we are now able to give 3 out of 5! Hopefully in the near future we can evaluate and give every qualified pup to a hero.
