Mission: The mission of the bugle boy foundation is to provide a premier listening room venue for affordable public performances by professional musicians of original works of diverse genres, for the enrichment of fayette county, texas residents and visitors. The foundation supports music education by sponsoring artist-led creative arts programs for the benefit of area students.
Programs: Live music concerts: organization provides concerts at which the public can affordably listen to a wide array of unique musical artists in a listening room environment. The listening public can experience an eclectic mix of many diverse musical tastes, styles and genres. During 2017, the organization provided 87 live concert listening experiences to 3,261 people ages twelve & older. In addition, the organization linked with an on-line, streaming video service and provided a live listening experience to at least an additional 3,488 viewers. These viewers were from around the world including europe, austrailia, new zealand, japan, mongolia and tasmania, as well as most states within the united states.
soldier songs & voices workshops for veterans: organization sponsors artist-taught/artist mentoring for veterans to learn music and instrument skills. In 2017, there were 11 workshops totaling 33 hours with 59 veteran attendance instances.
in-school programs: organization sponsors professional artist-led creative arts program for area public schools. In 2017, the organization sponsored 1 event serving 42 students.
other program services provided include: -the swan song program (fulfilling end of life musical wishes) provided 7 concerts with 185 attendees in 2017. -the music & memory program (providing individualized ipods to nursing home residents) -nursing home concerts (providing live music to area nursing homes) held 9 concerts with 354 attendees in 2017.
