Mission: Bubble partners with underserved schools to deliver nutrition, fitness, and wellness programming that engages students in unique, hands-on activities that build healthy habits. Through its close partnership with school administrators, bubble programming incorporates wellness into the fabric of schools to place all kids on a path to healthy living.
Programs: Bubble eats provided students, parents, and educators with the education and resources needed to make healthier eating choices. Through weekly nutrition and cooking classes, family meals, special events, and parent workshops, students and their families were exposed to the healthy foods, activities, and information that empower them to develop health habits. 750 children received weekly eats education in cooking and nutrition, and over 1,300 parents participated in parent education.
bubble moves provided students and parents with access to physical activities that promote a healthy lifestyle. Moves programs explored fun, alternative forms of movement that fit the unique needs of students. Over 700 students participated in bubble moves, gaining exposure to the physical activities that build lifelong skills and interests.
bubble grows provided students with the opportunity to grow and prepare their own food. Through a weekly curriculum, students experienced firsthand the science of how food grows. Over 1,500 students received weekly grows education in gardening. In addition, bubble assisted two schools with building their first school-wide gardens.
