Causes: Women, Womens Service Clubs
Mission: A non-profit, non-political, non-sectarian organization that provides funds and charitable services to the community.
Programs: The brown county community womens club was started in 2008 by 13 women. It has grown to over 260 members each year. The club offers our members the opportunity to participate in fundraising events so that we can make monetary donations to deserving non-profits in the brown county, wi, community. In 2015, we distributed over $40,000 to many worthy causes; and since 2008 we have dispersed more than $215,000 to these deserving non-profits in our community. In addition, our club offers our members the opporunity to volunteer their time and talents to many non-profit groups such as nursing homes, food pantries, coats for kids, give a kid a book, etc. This past year, our members collectively volunteered more than 11,000 hours to help improve life in our community. Our focus is to help improve the quality of life for our children, the elderly, and those in need. We also offer the opportunity for fellowship in the form of theatre, bridge groups, book clubs, luncheons, and gardening. We have no paid staff, and all of the money we raise is given back to our local community.
