Causes: Alumni Associations, Education
Mission: The brown alumni association seeks to encourage alumni to participate actively in the brown community, to attend events, to volunteer, to create new ways for alumni to stay connected to brown and to contribute to the greatness of our university. Our vision is to involve the greatest possible number of alumni and alumnae with brown on an annual basis by creating a range of programs and services so appealing that alumni will seek to remain engaged with the university and each other. Consistent with the core values of community, education and service, the baa's programs and services should provide alumni with meaningful opportunities to: 1)continue the process of life-long learning 2) foster diversity and community, strengthening ties to brown and growing relationships with other alumni 3) receive valuable services to enhance their lives and careers 4) serve the university, other alumni, students and the community at large.
Programs: Alumni engagement events: services and programs such as alumni weekends and class reunions provided for brown university graduates and volunteers in an effort to foster continued involvement and support for brown university and the brown community.
club programs & outreach: brown alumni association supports over 100 worldwide subsidiary chapters with programming that keeps club members involved in the brown university community. Event programming is both educational and social in nature, is designed to promote interest in brown university, and is delivered to both regional and multicultural alumni constituencies.
alumni services: specific services provided by and for brown alumni on an individual basis, including career programs, networking, mentoring and alumni college advising. These programs provide opportunities for alumni and students to learn about and share career-related goals and strategies. Other services include an alumni interviewing program for prospective students.
