Mission: The mission of the brevard cultural alliance, inc. Is to build and sustain a dynamic and vibrant arts and cultural sector integral to brevard county's quality of life.
Programs: Service to arts organizations:administration of brevard county community cultural grants: the brevard county community cultural grants program, managed by bca is funded by the brevard county board of county commissioners, and has provided an annual source of general operating support or project funding for eligible recipient organizations since 1987.
arts education:bca offers capacity building workshops to cultural organizations, area nonprofits, and individual artists. Working with partners such as brevard public schools, brevard cultural alliance facilitates artist residencies for students. Through an artist residency, a professional artist is placed in structured settings to deliver intensive project-based sessions to immerse students in a particular art form. Artists work with teachers and administrators to align artistic instruction with the curriculum and facilitate the acquisition of 21st century skills.
art in public places:brevard cultural alliance manages the art in public places temporary exhibition program, with numerous exhibition spaces throughout the county featuring artwork by area artists on an ongoing basis. This program is of service to participating artists with opportunities to exhibit and sell their artwork.
